Privacy policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This privacy policy describes how Savage Software ("we") collects, uses and protects personal data in connection with our services and this website.

1. Who is responsible

Controller: Savage Software
Contact: [email protected]

2. What data we collect

  • Contact details you provide yourself (name, email, the content of your message) by email or through contact forms.
  • Technical data (IP address, browser, type of device, pages visited, timestamps) needed for the site to work and to keep it secure.
  • Statistics on the use of our websites, counted with Track, our own service (see section 5), to improve the sites.

3. Why we process the data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Answering questions and requests.
  • Carrying out services and quotations, and communicating about projects.
  • Improving the website experience, and analyses to optimise our services.
  • Meeting legal obligations, such as administrative and tax retention duties.

4. Legal basis

We base the processing on one of the following legal grounds: your consent (where asked for), the performance of a contract, a legitimate interest (such as the security and improvement of the website) or legal obligations.

5. Cookies & analytics

This website loads nothing from other websites. Where necessary we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

  • Essential cookies: needed for the site to work (such as security and handling forms).
  • Statistics without cookies: on our websites, including yo-bro.eu, we count visits with Track, our own statistics service. For every page you open, page not found, server error or download, our server sends Track the address and title of the page, when it happened and how long the server took, the site or page you came from, any campaign label in the address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign or ref), your browser's language, your browser and device as your browser reports them (the user agent), whether your browser sent the headers browsers normally send, and your IP address without its last part, so your full address never leaves our server. Track works out your country, region and city from that, and recognises a visitor only within the same day. Track does not store the shortened address or your user agent: the database holds only totals per day, which we keep for 25 months, and for yo-bro.eu for 13 months. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in seeing how our websites are used, with as little data as we can. Track runs at DigitalOcean in Amsterdam, with Cloudflare in front of it. Both are American companies; if data reaches the United States, that happens under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. You can object at any time: don't count my visit. Your browser remembers that with one cookie, which does nothing else. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we don't count you either. This works from then on: earlier visits are only in totals and cannot be taken out.

6. Sharing with third parties

We sometimes use external service providers (such as hosting, analytics and email). These parties act as processors and may process data only according to our instructions and the applicable law. A message sent through the contact form reaches our mailbox through Mailjet.

7. Retention

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless legal retention duties require a longer period.

8. Your rights

Among other things, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. For questions or requests, email [email protected].

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, such as HTTPS, access controls and secure hosting.

10. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated. Changes are published on this page with an updated date.

11. Contact

For questions about privacy or to make a request, contact [email protected].
